To use the Digital Library of Illinois, you will need a Lake Land College library card. If you don't already have an account, sign up for one at the Circulation Desk in the library. You will then have access to the Libby App as a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System.
Don't want to download an app? You can use Libby in your browser at this link: https://dlil.overdrive.com.
If you have an Android or Apple device, go to the App Store or Google Play app, download the Libby app, and follow the steps to install. When asked to choose a library, choose Lake Land (if available) or Illinois Heartland Library System.
If you have a Kindle Fire, download the Libby App in the Amazon App Store.
Do you have a public library card, too? Watch this video update from November 2022 to learn how to switch between libraries in Libby.

Over 3,000 magazines now available!
Simultaneous checkouts so no need to wait until someone else has finished. Are you a crafter? chef? hunter? car lover? Find the magazines that are perfect for you!
The free Libby app is available for Android, iOS, Windows 10, some Chromebooks and in your browser.
When you find an item you want to check out, look in the upper right-hand corner for the correct format (audio or ebook.)
Popular titles have a waiting list, but you can still place a hold on the ebook or audiobook. You may be able to download the item in different formats--ask Circulation Staff or the Librarian if you're not sure what format is for you.
You are limited to five checkouts at any one time.
